Currently a family nurse practitioner in the Montefiore School Health Program, Carole provides a wide range of primary, emergency, and episodic health care to the students in Bronx high schools.
Formerly a staff nurse midwife at Weiler and Bronx Municipal Hospitals in the Bronx, she works per diem at Long Island Jewish Hospital in Nassau County.
Her private midwifery practice closed in 2005 due to exorbitant malpractice insurance rates and decreasing reimbursement by insurance carriers, but she remains available for program design and consultation for both inpatient and outpatient maternal child health care programs, including childbirth education, CQI activities, and administration of Prenatal Care Assistance Program services.
